"Mountains in a Changing World" Summer school 2025
Summer school
A look back at the latest edition of the “Mountains in a Changing World” summer school, held between June 23 and 28 in Grenoble and the surrounding area.
This school aims to study the impact of human activities on mountain environments, as well as the effects of climate change. A multidisciplinary program drawing on various Earth and environmental sciences and social sciences, it combines campus activities and field trips to best illustrate the many transformations underway in the Alps.
This edition also welcomed students and professors from two of UGA's strategic partners: National Taiwan University (Taiwan) and the University of Tsukuba (Japan). As such, the program is supported in part by the joint research and training initiative of the NTU-UT-UGA trilateral consortium. Their visit is part of a broader effort to strengthen collaboration between the three universities in the disciplines covered by the summer school.
