Mitacs call for projects results for Fds, UGA applicants

Mitacs
UGA signed an agreement with the Canadian agency Mitacs, enabling its students, PhD students and post-docs to apply for internships or research stays in Canada. 8 of the 20 UGA winners came from the Faculty of Science.
As part of the "Globalink Research Internship" (GRI) program, Mitacs identifies internship opportunities at Canadian universities and invites students from its partner institutions around the world to apply. In addition to the internship opportunity, successful applicants receive full funding for travel and accommodation expenses.

The GRI call is highly selective. For the session opened in 2023 with a view to an internship starting in 2024, Mitacs received 30,076 applications for around 3,000 internship offers. 66 UGA students applied, including 20 winners.
 
Breakdown of winners by UGA components/schools:
- 5 from Chemistry and Biology department (FdS)
- 3 PhITEM Department (FdS)
- 5 Faculty of Pharmacy, UGA
- 4 Grenoble INP – Phelma, UGA
- 1 Faculty of Economy, UGA
- 1 School of Arts and Humanities, UGA
- 1 Sciences Po Grenoble – UGA

The winners will complete research internships at 11 Canadian universities:
- Université de Montréal
- École de technologie supérieure de l’INRS (National Institute for Scientific Research)
- McGill University
- Université Laval
- University of Windsor
- University of Alberta
- University of Manitoba
- University of Saskatchewan
- Université de Sherbrooke
- Dalhousie University
- Université du Québec en Outaouais

UGA winners for the "Globalink Research Award" (GRA) call

15 applications were submitted by UGA candidates in October 2023: 9 doctoral students, 5 Master's students and 1 post-doctoral student.
11 projects were selected at the end of the evaluation process.
 
The UGA structures involved are:

11 laboratoires: CESICE, CREG, GIPSA-LAB, IAB, IPAG, IPHIG, LEPMI, LIDILEM, LPSC, PACTE, SyMMES.

6 doctoral schools:
